Tree Drawing Day

We've been inundated by snow this March, creating a forced window of opportunity for me to draw in my sketchbook. What I do is to draw subjects I dearly love, and keep them in the image file in my brain, and then when I need an image to finish off an art quilt, it's there ready to copy onto printer fabric, or iron on with a piece of t-shirt transfer paper. I love the softness of a pencil drawing, and I think the little bit of watercolor makes it just right.

My Sixth Mini Journal Art Quilt in the Series

This one has paint, dyes, applique (both printer fabric and silk organza screen printing) and lots of machine stitch plus hand quilting. Stay tuned for more pictures - I'm really hitting my stride these days, with my work as good as it's ever been! This is a result of being true to myself.
